Abstract

With China’s reform and opening up, foreign trade has continued to develop and has become one of the main
external factors affecting the change in industrial structure. The appropriate choice of China’s foreign trade
structure change has greatly affected the optimization of the domestic potato industry structure. Therefore, it is
necessary to actively carry out research on the impact of the optimization of China’s foreign trade structure on
the upgrading of the potato industry. The purpose of this article is to investigate the impact of the optimization
of China’s foreign trade structure on the upgrading of the potato industry. A structural questionnaire is used to
investigate the changes in the sample farmer’s machinery asset ownership rate, potato farmland change, potato
acre yield, potato profit rate, etc. Several aspects are compared to find out the relationship between the
optimization of China’s foreign trade structure and the upgrading of the potato industry. The research results
show that the large-scale peasant households’ acreage output in 2007 is 1306, and the acre-year output is 1759 in
2019, the largest increase. The acre-acre output has increased by 453 jinn, and the medium-scale peasant
households have an acre-production of 1825 in 2007 and a 2,189-kg acre in 2019. 364 catties, 1646 for small
farmers in 2007 and 1850 catties in 2019, the least increase is 204 catties. This shows that the optimization of
the foreign trade structure is of great significance to the upgrading of the potato industry
