Purification Capacity and Influencing Factors of 6 Kinds of Wetland Plant Sewage

Abstract

Using the control experiment,the purification effects of 6 kinds of wetland plants on domestic sewage under
control conditions were studied,such as Acorus calamus Linn., Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani (Gmel.) Palla,
Thalia dealbata Fraser,Iris ensata var. hortensis Makino et Nemoto, Myriophyllum aquaticum (Vellozo) Verdc.
and Canna orchioides Bailey,and the effects of rhizosphere microorganisms and matrix adsorption on the
purification effects were analyzed. The experimental results showed that: The average monthly removal rates of
TN, NH4
+ -N and TP by the six species ranged from 60% to 75%,65% to 80% and 50% to 75%, respectively.
The maximum monthly average removal rate of TN, NH4
+ -N and TP were Iris hybrids 'Louisiana',Canna indica
L. and Myriophyllum aquaticum (Vell.) Verdc.,respectively. The number of microorganisms in rhizosphere of
wetland plants increased firstly and then decreased. The quantity order of the three microorganisms was:
bacteria > actinomycetes > fungi,and the correlation between different kinds of microorganisms and sewage
removal rate was different,there is a significant correlation between the number of bacteria and the sewage
purification effect.The correlation between TN concentration and TN and NH4
+ -N removal was not significant
in the matrix,and there was a significant correlation between TP concentration and TP removal in the matrix.
